2nd Annual Trent Steckel 5K Run / Walk
When: Sunday, September18, 2011
Time: 2:00 - 5:00 pm
Location: Crystal Lake South High School - Ken Bruhn Field
1200 S. McHenry Avenue, Crystal Lake IL
The proceeds from the Trent Steckel Memorial 5K Run/Walk will go to the Trent Steckel Scholarship Fund which will give an individual the opportunity to make a difference. It will help pay for classes and training to enter a very dedicated profession; to either become a firefighter, paramedic, or nurse.
Trent Steckel had dreams of helping people, and he was on the path of becoming a firefighter/paramedic when those dreams were cut short, when he passed away in a motorcycle accident July 2010. Trent will forever be remembered for his contagious smile and enthusiastic love for life. This race was created for people to come show their love and support for Trent, and to truly honor and celebrate his life.
